Dear Colleagues,
we encourage you to submit a contribution at the 46th COSPAR Scientific Assembly (https://www.cospar-assembly.org) to be included in the session
B4.3: Venus Science and Exploration
This session invites presentations on all aspects of Venus, including its interior, surface, and atmosphere, focusing on recent findings and upcoming Venus missions.
We welcome diverse approaches, such as theoretical studies, laboratory experiments, numerical model calculations, revisiting past data, and new ground/space-based measurements, to help better characterize Venus.
Studies on terrestrial analogues to Venus both as field campaigns to better understand the performance of the instruments on-board future missions as well as sample collections to be tested in lab under Venus-like conditions are encouraged to be presented.
Topics on Venus as an exoplanet analogue by comparing models validated and constrained using Venus spectral data from orbiter and in situ to better understand observable planets under similar insolation level and their habitability potential are also welcome.
The ultimate goal of the session is to promote international discussion opportunities to understand ongoing efforts toward solving significant scientific questions about Venus, along with current, confirmed and planned Venus space missions.
The Call for Abstracts may be found at: https://issuu.com/jccospar/docs/call_for_abstracts_2026?fr=sMzY4Njg3MzM2Njg
Abstract submission deadline: 13 February 2026
Looking forward to meet you in Florence.
