2025 China-Japan-South Korea International Workshop on the Milky Way and Exoplanets

September 22–26, 2025 | Hangzhou, China

Over the past decade, with the LAMOST spectroscopic survey and follow-up observations, astronomers from China, Japan, and South Korea have engaged in extensive and fruitful collaborations in the field of Galactic astronomy and exoplanetary science. Following the launch of Subaru/PFS survey, trilateral collaboration in these fields will be further deepened and strengthened. To build on this and promote further exchanges and collaboration within the East Asian astronomical community, we organizes the "2025 China-Japan-Korea Galaxy and Exoplanet International Workshop", which will be held in Hangzhou, China, from September 22 to 26, 2025.

The workshop aims to:

- Share recent progresses in the field of Galactic astronomy and exoplanet science.

- Establish a cross-border communication platform to foster regional and international collaboration.

- Explore new directions for multilateral cooperation and jointly promote the construction and implementation of future large-scale international instrument for astronomy.

Workshop Themes (including but not limited to) 

1. Structure, formation and evolution of the Milky Way 

2. Searching and studying of peculiar stars 

3. Detection, validation, and orbital architecture of exoplanetary systems.
