IAU interdisciplinary symposium on ML&AI in Astrophysics in Athens, June 2-6, 2025

Dear colleagues, We are very excited to announce the first interdisciplinary International Astronomical Union Symposium between Astrophysics and Computer Science, with a focus on Machine learning and AI applications. The symposium will take place June 2-6, 2025 in Athens: https://universai2025.hua.gr/ The purpose of the meeting is to bring astrophysics and computer scientists together and find a common language moving forward. The goal is to facilitate the building of lasting collaborations that will benefit both communities in the upcoming multimessenger big data era. You do not have to be working on either ML/AI or astrophysical applications. If you have a problem that ML/AI could potentially help, want to advertise your data, have tools that could be applicable in astrophysics, or in need of large datasets and new challenges but do not know where to find them, this is the meeting for you! The abstract submission is now open and will close February 1 (https://universai2025.hua.gr/registration/). You can find a list of invited speakers below. The proceedings of the meeting will be published in the IAU Proceedings Series by Cambridge University Press.
