ATNF Telescope Proposals for 2024APR

Dear colleague,

Proposals for observing time are now invited for the 2024APR semester for the:

* ASKAP radio telescope;

* Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA);

* Murriyang, the 64-m Parkes radio telescope;

* Tidbinbilla 70-m and 34-m antennas; and

* Long Baseline Array (VLBI).

The deadline for all proposals is 06:00 UT (17:00 Sydney local time) on Friday, 15 December 2023.

All proposals must be submitted using the online proposal application system, OPAL (http://opal.atnf.csiro.au/).

Significant changes for the 2024APR semester are detailed here and include:

* We expect to install the Cryogenically Cooled Phased Array Feed (CryoPAF) on Murriyang, the 64-m Parkes radio telescope, during Q1 2024. We are seeking expressions of interest for shared-risk CryoPAF time during July through September 2024.

* We are introducing the ATNF Long-term project schemefor the 2024APR semester.

* ATNF proposals are fully anonymised. Proposals that reveal applicant identities will be penalised.

* We strongly encourage proposers to use the provided LaTeX template for ATNF scientific justifications, with appropriate BibTeX setup to support anonymisation.
