CALL FOR PROPOSALS

                         GLOBAL 3mm VLBI ARRAY

                         Deadline:  1 August 2022



     VLBI proposals for observing at 3mm wavelength (86 GHz) using:

     the VLBA,  GBT*,  EFFELSBERG,  PICO VELETA,  NOEMA,  ONSALA,  

     METSAEHOVI,  YEBES,  and  KVN  telescopes should be submitted by


                       1 AUGUST 2022 (UT 21:00)

    GMVA proposals submitted by the 2022 August 01 deadline will be 
    considered for scheduling in 2023 Session I (May 4 - 9), or 
    later sessions.

     ** New GMVA proposals requesting the phased ALMA telescope should not 
     ** be submitted at the August 01 2022 (semester 2023A) deadline. 
     ** Only proposals which were re-proposed at the Cycle 9 ALMA
     ** deadline after ALMA absence in Session 2022/I will be considered.

    Ongoing special considerations are documented in the GMVA section of 
    the VLBA Observational Status Summary (http://go.nrao.edu/vlba-gmva-oss); 

    new features and/or special cases are cited here.

    The use of the PST requires registration by all proposers, 
    including co-investigators, in the NRAO User Database.

    The GMVA will record at the highest bitrate which instrumentation and 
    resources permit. All telescopes will record at 4096 Mbps.

    All data will be correlated at the Bonn DiFX software correlator.  

    * The GBT may be requested for GMVA observations if a sufficiently
    compelling justification is given in the proposal.  Observing time

    is reduced due to new partnership arrangements.

    The KVN or the Greenland Telescope (GLT) must be specified by entering 

    "KVN” or “GLT” as "Other" entries in the PST.  

    Observations with VLBA telescopes at 7mm (43 GHz) may be scheduled on 

    the GMVA during pointing/calibration gaps on other GMVA telescopes; 

    such 7-mm observations can be proposed for.  Additional antennas like 

    “Noto” may also join the 7-mm observations.
