서울대학교 거대블랙홀 연구실에서 외국인 박사후 연구원을 모집합니다. 관심있는 후보자들에게 알려주시기 바랍니다. Post-doctoral Position at Seoul National University Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral position at Seoul National University. A successful candidate will work with Prof. Jong-Hak Woo (http://astro.snu.ac.kr/~woo) to carry out observational research projects on AGN and galaxy evolution. Preference will be given to those who have experience in AGN/extragalatic research and/or spectroscopic data analysis. Substantial amount of time for independent research can be provided. Astronomy Department at SNU provides a lively research environment. Currently, 12 faculty members (including 2 non-Koreans), 10 post-docs, and ~50 graduate students, are actively working on astronomy, covering cosmology, galaxy evolution, AGN, star formation, solar physics etc. A successful candidate can also work with graduate students in various levels. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in astronomy. The duration of this position is two years, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year contingent upon satisfactory research performance and continued funding. University-subsidized housing is available for monthly rent of US $ 400-600 and travel fund is also provided. The position is available from August 1 2012 or earlier, but the starting date is negotiable. The position remains open until it is filled.
