(1st Circular, May. 24, 2011) 2011 APCTP International School on Numerical Relativity and Gravitational Waves July 28 ? August 3, 2011 at APCTP Pohang in Korea Dear colleagues, I am very happy to announce the 1st circular of "2011 APCTP International School on Numerical Relativity and Gravitational Waves" to be held during July 28-August 03, 2011 at APCTP Pohang Headquarters in Korea. This school is mainly intended to provide in-depth education to students and any researchers who are interested in the following topics; * Numerical Relativity (NR): 3+1 and BSSN formalisms, Binary (NS-NS, NS-BH and BH-BH) merger simulations, GR hydrodynamics, Star collapse, Supernova, etc. * Gravitational Waves (GW): GW detection experiments, LIGO and LCGT, Gravitational wave data analysis, Computing infrastructures and LDG, etc. The details about the school including invited lecturers can be found on the attached file, or on the web page (i.e., http://apctp.org/conferences/2011/NRG2011/). The deadline for registration is June 25, 2011, but late registration will be accepted subject to availability. More detailed schedule will be announced in due course.
