안녕하세요.
IAU에서는 천문학의 가치와 발견의 즐거움을 시민들과 공유하고 소통하기 위해 2005년부터 2년마다 CAP(Communicating Astronomy with the Public) Conferece를 개최해 오고 있습니다.
올해는 9월 21일부터 5일간 호주 시드니에서 개최됩니다.
주요 테마는아래와 같습니다.
- Current Challenges in Astronomy
Communication;
- Best Practices in Public
Outreach;
- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and
Empathy in Communicating Astronomy;
- The Media’s Role in Astronomy
Communication;
- Using Multimedia, Social Media,
Immersive Environments and other Technologies for Public Engagement with
Astronomy;
- Astronomy and Climate Change;
- Astronomy Communication to
Promote Peace;
- The Role of Astronomy in Bridging
Cultures;
- Communicating Astronomy in the
Asia–Pacific Region.

Dear
colleagues,
Registration
is now open for the CAP2020 Communicating Astronomy with the Public
Conference, to be held from Sep 21-25 2020 in Sydney, Australia. Abstract
submissions for talks, posters, and workshops are invited under the theme of Communicating
Astronomy for a Better World: Environment, Culture and Peace. A number of
grants are available for those with limited means of support.
CAP
is organized by the International Astronomical Union Commission C2 and hosted
by Macquarie University this year.
Deadline
for abstract and grant submissions: 15 March 2020
Deadline
for early registration: 31 May 2020
