지난 9월 30일 공지해 드린 7DT/7DS Open Time 프로그램 Call for Proposals와 관련하여, Spec mode의 필터 구성에 대해 조금 더 구체적으로 안내드리고자 합니다. 개정된 작성 안내(Preparation Instructions)를 첨부하였으니 참고해 주시기 바랍니다.

당초 안내에서는 32개 필터를 모두 사용하는 구성(specall) 한 가지만 신청 가능하도록 되어 있었습니다만, 내부 논의를 거쳐 이번 Call에서는 다음 세 가지 필터 구성을 신청하실 수 있도록 하였습니다.

• specall: 32개 필터 전체를 두 세트(각 16개)로 나누어 순차적으로 관측합니다. 두 세트는 동시에 관측되지 않으며, 전체 관측에 필요한 시간은 필터당 노출 시간의 두 배(세트당 한 번씩)입니다. 예를 들어 필터당 요구 프레임 시간이 300초라면, specall 전체 관측은 overhead를 제외하고 10분(첫 번째 세트 300초 + 두 번째 세트 300초)이 소요됩니다. specall은 Order 1과 Order 2를 모두 포함해서만 신청 가능하며, 어느 한쪽만 따로 신청할 수는 없습니다.
  • Order 1(16개 필터): m400, m425, m450, m475, m500, m525, m550, m575, m600, m625, m650, m675, m700, m725, m750, m775
  • Order 2(16개 필터): m800, m825, m850, m875, m438, m483, m512, m534, m561, m586, m615, m640, m661, m769w, m832w, r
• specblue: 16개 필터를 한 번의 노출로 관측합니다. m400, m425, m450, m475, m500, m525, m550, m575, m600, m625, m650, m675, m700, m725, m750, m775
• specred: 16개 필터를 한 번의 노출로 관측합니다. m500, m525, m550, m575, m600, m625, m650, m675, m700, m725, m750, m775, m800, m825, m850, m875

specblue와 specred는 한 번의 노출만 필요하므로, 전체 관측에 필요한 시간은 필터당 노출 시간 한 번(overhead 제외)이며, 이는 같은 프레임 시간을 사용하는 specall 전체 관측 시간의 절반입니다.

이 세 가지 외의 필터 조합은 이번 Call에서 신청하실 수 없습니다.

그 밖의 일정과 제출 방법은 기존 공지와 동일하며, Phase 1 제안서 제출 마감은 변경 없이 2026년 10월 23일 23:59(한국 시간)입니다.

Dear colleagues,

We are writing to provide more detail on the filter configurations available in Spec mode for the 7DT/7DS Open Time Program Call for Proposals announced on 30 September. Revised Preparation Instructions is attached; please refer to this updated version.

The original Call stated that only the full 32-filter configuration (specall) could be requested. Following internal discussion, we have decided to allow the following three filter configurations for this Call.

• specall: the full 32-filter set, observed as two sets of 16 filters, one after the other. The two sets are therefore not observed simultaneously, and the total observing time for a full visit is twice the exposure time needed per filter, once for each set. For example, at a frame time of 300 s per filter, a full specall visit takes 10 minutes (300 s for the first set, 300 s for the second), before accounting for overheads. specall must be requested as a whole; Order 1 and Order 2 cannot be requested separately.
  • Order 1 (16 filters): m400, m425, m450, m475, m500, m525, m550, m575, m600, m625, m650, m675, m700, m725, m750, m775
  • Order 2 (16 filters): m800, m825, m850, m875, m438, m483, m512, m534, m561, m586, m615, m640, m661, m769w, m832w, r
• specblue: 16 filters, taken in a single exposure. m400, m425, m450, m475, m500, m525, m550, m575, m600, m625, m650, m675, m700, m725, m750, m775
• specred: 16 filters, taken in a single exposure. m500, m525, m550, m575, m600, m625, m650, m675, m700, m725, m750, m775, m800, m825, m850, m875

Because specblue and specred each require only one exposure, the total observing time for a full visit equals the exposure time needed per filter, taken once, before accounting for overheads; this is half the exposure time of a full specall visit at the same frame time.

No filter combination other than these three is available for this Call.

All other dates and submission procedures remain unchanged. The Phase 1 proposal deadline is still 23 October 2026, 23:59 Korea Standard Time.
