K-GMT Science Program 25B Call for Proposals Announcement

안녕하세요.

한국천문연구원에서는 K-GMT Science Program의 일환으로 2025B시즌 Gemini망원경의 정규 관측제안서를 모집합니다. 제출된 관측제안서는 학계의 전문가로 구성된 독립된 제안서 심사위원회의 심사를 거쳐 관측시간이 배정될 예정입니다. 더불어 정규 Call과는 무관하게 Fast Turnaround (FT), Poor Weather (PW), 그리고 Director’s Discretionary (DD) Time등의 방법으로 언제든 제안서를 제출하실 수 있으니 K-GMT Science Program에서 제공하는 다양한 기회를 적극 활용해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

[중요공지사항]

작년 가을에 공지해 드린바와 같이 25B시즌부터는 DARP (Dual Anonymous Review Process)를 적용하여 제안서 심사가 이뤄집니다. 현재 Gemini Call for Proposals 페이지에서 제공하는 제안서 템플릿은 DARP 형식을 따르고 있습니다. 제안서를 준비하시는 분들은 DARP 가이드라인(**K-GMT SP CfPs Site 참조)을 따라 제공된 템플릿을 이용하여 제안서 내용을 작성해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

KGO에서는 이번 시즌 사용자들의 이해를 돕기 위하여 “How to write a Gemini proposal with DARP format” Webinar를 개최합니다 (3월 두번째주; 구체적인 일정은 추후 별도의 이메일로 안내). 많은 분들의 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다.

Korea Astronomy and Space science institute (KASI) invites observing proposals for K-GMT Science Program 2025B with Gemini. The submitted proposals will be awarded time after being reviewed by the time allocation committee (KTAC) composed of experts in the Korean Astronomy Society (KAS). Any researchers affiliated with Korean research institutes and universities are eligible to apply. We would like to encourage all astronomers in the KAS to actively submit the observational proposals utilizing the versatile Gemini instruments.

Regardless of regular calls, you can submit proposals at any time through routes such as Fast Turnaround (FT), Poor Weather (PW), and Director’s Discretionary (DD) Time, so we would appreciate it if you could take advantage of the various opportunities provided by the K-GMT Science Program.

[Important Notice]

As announced last fall, starting from the 25B season, proposals will be reviewed through the DARP (Dual Anonymous Review Process). The proposal template currently provided on the Gemini Call for Proposals site follows the DARP format. Please follow the DARP guideline when you write a proposal for this semester (** K-GMT SP CfPs site).

KGO is holding the “How to write a Gemini proposal with DARP format” Webinar to help users understand this season (2nd week of March; specific schedule will be notified by separate email later). We ask for your interest and participation.
