Astronomical Applications call for papers deadline is quickly approaching!
Abstracts are due 5 February 2025 for the conference on UV/Optical/IR Space
Telescopes and Instruments: Innovative Technologies and Concepts XII.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE MEMBER
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Give
technical input to the conference chairs as needed
- Assist
conference chairs in publicizing the conference and soliciting abstracts
- Suggest
speakers to be invited
- Participate
in the presentation abstract and manuscript review process (as assigned by
the conference chairs)
- Suggest
special conference sessions
- Serve
as session chair as requested by conference chairs

We need to receive the majority of submissions by the deadline for planning
purposes, so don’t delay!

colleagues that all attending authors (even invited and keynote speakers)
are required to pay the registration fee
- As
an enhancement to the conference experience, we are continuing to publish

(or create an account) and follow the submission wizard.
APPLICATION TRACKS
Each application track is a topical area with broad-range interest that can be
selected during the abstract submission process if relevant to your research.
All presentations selected into the application track can be surfaced together
using an application track filter in the program on the SPIE website. Listing
presentations together on a specific topic within the program helps participants
more easily locate your presentation in their area of interest.
If your submission is related to an application track below, indicate the
appropriate track when prompted during the submission process.
- AI/ML: Papers that
highlight the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep
learning to create and implement intelligent systems across multiple
sectors, technologies, and applications
- Sustainability: Papers that
highlight the use of optics and photonics for renewable energy, natural
resource management, sustainable manufacturing, and greenhouse gas
mitigation in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
SUBMISSION AGREEMENT
All presenting authors, including keynote, invited, oral, and poster
presenters, agree to the following conditions by submitting an abstract:
- Register
and pay the speaker registration fee
- Agree
to receive email messaging for the conference series
- Oral
presenters: the recording and publication of your onsite presentation
(slides synched with voice) for publication in the Proceedings of SPIE in
the SPIE Digital Library
- Poster
presenters: one person may not present more than two posters in a poster
session; submit a poster PDF for preview in the online program (web and
app) and for publication in the Proceedings of SPIE in the SPIE Digital
Library
- Submit
a manuscript by the advertised due date for publication in the Proceedings
of SPIE in the SPIE Digital Library
- Obtain
funding for registration fees, travel, and accommodations
- Attend
the meeting
- Present
at the scheduled time.

SUBMISSIONS
- Only
conference chairs are able see the full list of submissions
- As
a committee member, you can only see what the conference chairs have
assigned you to review
- If
you want access to all submissions, ask the conference chairs to add you
as a reviewer and assign you to submissions as they come in
- To
check assignments, sign in to https://spie.org/myaccount
with the following Username: eqhan
- If
you do not remember your password, click on the link "Forgot your
password?"; you will be guided through a process to reset your
password using the email address: jhan@kasi.re.kr;
if this email address is not current, please reply with your current email
so I can keep your record up to date
- If
there are no assignments listed in your account then the conference chair
has not assigned you to review anything yet
