I’m writing to ask for your help to advertise our upcoming workshop ‘’Kochel CLAW’ in Schloss Aspenstein, Kochelsee, Germany, September 30th - October 4th 2024.

This workshop is intended to bring theorists and observers from different sub-fields together that deal with Lyman-alpha to discuss challenges and solutions. We hope for an interactive lively workshop with people from different communities (LSS, EoR, galaxy formation and evolution, …) participating.

Key questions we hope to be addressed during the workshop include (but are not limited to):

·  How does Lyman alpha emission or absorption provide information about the density, temperature, and composition of a multiphase medium in galaxies and other cosmic structures?

·  How does Lyman alpha emission contribute to our understanding of the formation and evolution of galaxies, including the role it plays in tracing star formation and gas dynamics?

·  What role does Lyman alpha play in our understanding of the process of cosmic reionization, and how can it help reveal the history of the ionization state of the universe?

·  How do radiative transfer processes affect the observed Lyman alpha profiles, and what insights can be gained by modeling and understanding these processes?

Apart from short talks where the participants can present their work, we plan to include discussion sections to allow the participants to profit from the interactive nature of the workshop and build new collaborations.
