The 17th AOGS Annual Meeting will be held 28 June to 4 July at Hongcheon, South Korea. We advertise a session dedicated to magneto-convective motions in the solar lower atmosphere. We share the observational/numerical aspect of the cause and effect of the magneto-convections. Please note that the abstract submission deadline is 21 Jan. 2020.

Title: Solar Magneto-convection in the Solar Lower Atmosphere: High-Resolution Observations and Numerical Simulations (ST28)

Abstract: For decades, our understanding of solar magneto-convection has been improved rapidly thanks to the high-resolution observations and the sophisticate numerical simulations. Now we have a reasonable picture not only on the global dynamo but also on the local surface magneto-convections in the photosphere. However, many details on the local magneto-convections are still elusive. In this session, we invite contributions that discuss new observations of magneto-convections with recent high-resolution observations and numerical simulations. We share the observational/numerical aspect of the cause and effect of the magneto-convections: granulations, plages, relevant waves, instabilities, or magnetic reconnections both in quiet regions and active regions.
