Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position in Extra-galactic Astronomy and Cosmology

The KIAS School of Physics and the Quantum Universe Center invite applicants for research fellow positions and a research professor position in the field of extra-galactic astronomy and observational cosmology. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in astronomy or a related field, and should have demonstrated exceptional research potential in their fields. The successful applicants will work with the members of KIAS astrophysics group on analytical, observational, and numerical studies. The research topic includes galaxy formation, large scale structures in the universe, high-redshift universe, and the cosmic microwave background radiation (http://astro.kias.re.kr/). 

Appointments can start as early as March 1, 2020, but the starting date is negotiable. The initial appointment will be for two years with the possibility of renewal for two additional years, depending on research performance. The annual salary stars from 50,500,000 Korean Won (approximately 43,380USD at current exchange rate) for research fellows, and 57,500,000 Korean Won for KIAS Assistant Professors, respectively. In addition, individual research funds of 10,000,000 - 13,000,000 Korean Won are available per year.
