1. Title: Subaru-EAO High-z galaxy Workshop 2019
2. Date: Jan 31 - Feb 1, 2019
3. Venue: National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ), Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan
4. Webpage: https://sites.google.com/view/subaru-eao-hzg-ws/home?authuser=0

Our goals include sharing scientific experience within east Asian observatories (EAO), combining resources within EAO partners, and stimulating collaborations between our active partners. Moreover, an international co-operation or sharing-use of the Subaru Telescope is one of the top priorities for the future Subaru operation. Recent huge budget cut for Subaru from Japanese government has made this a primary focus lately. Based on these backgrounds, this workshop is aimed at development of research collaboration with the Subaru Telescope between east Asian countries in the field of galaxy formation and evolution at the era from the cosmic noon to dawn. We anticipate new collaborative projects to be made by participants through this workshop.
The ones who are particularly interested in high-z galaxy and AGN science in east Asian countries are welcome to participate this workshop. If you have any comments or suggestions on the Subaru-EAO partnerships, we would love hear from you. The workshop will have 12 open slots for oral presentations and up to ~20 poster presenters, along with 6 keynote speakers and 8 invited speakers. Contributions from young students and postdocs are especially valuable for us to make progress toward a future framework of the Subaru Telescope. Thus, young active researchers will be preferentially assigned to the oral presentations.
We have limited funds (up to 1M yen in total) to support your travel cost if needed, supported by the "workshop support program" of the Subaru Telescope.
