Subaru invites EAO community to propose for EAO time at Subaru Telescope (Please see the following link for the detailed information). 

To facilitate collaborations among the EAO community, we would like to ask colleagues to let us know your interest by sending an email (letter of intent or LOI) to ‘EAO_Subaru_sub@eaobservatory.org’ and ‘kgmtprop@kasi.re.kr’ before “noon of August 20th (KST)”. The LOI should contain a title, a list of investigators’ names and affiliations, a brief description (one paragraph) of science objective and required dataset. It is optional to show possible collaborators from other countries (China, Japan, or Taiwan), but it is not mandatory at this stage. Once we collect the LOI’s from all 4 EAO regions (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan), we (coordinators from each region) will sort out the LOI’s based on the scientific topics, and advise the investigators to collaborate with researchers from other regions (or groups) with similar interests. Therefore, if you plan to submit Subaru proposal through EAO time in 2017A, we strongly encourage you to send us the letter in time. 

Please bear in mind that successful proposals to EAO/Subaru time will be open to the EAO community, and then the researchers from EAO regions will be invited to join the program.     

We will accept the LOI’s received by August 20th 12pm (KST).
