KVN Multi-Frequency VLBI Science and Data Analysis Workshop

Recently, several papers have been published using KVN multi-frequency data.
These results have again confirmed the unique capability of KVN in millimeter
VLBI observations. With the long coherence time achieved by the KVN multi-
frequency system, we are able to detect more sources at high frequency, and
carry out high precision astrometric studies. Simultaneous multi-frequency
observations will be the most powerful way to explore the properties of AGN jets,
star forming regions and evolved stars at millimeter wavelengths.
In the near future, more stations in the world will have KVN compatable multi-
frequency system and new opportunities in mm-VLBI will be followed together
with the phase-up ALMA and global mm-VLBI network.

In order to maximize its scinetific aspects including the data reduction tutorials
on multi-frequency VLBI observations, we are please to host the workshop on
“KVN Multi-Frequency Science and Data Analysis” in December 14-16th, at
Pajubookcity (Guesthouse Jijihyang: http://pajubookcity.org/jijihyang ).
The program will include scientific presentations, practical tutorials on multi-
frequency data analysis, and user’s feedbacks. The detailed program will be
circulated in the next announcement.
 
The participants are expected to have experiences on VLBI data analysis, and
they are suggested to present their (preliminary) results. In particular, we strongly
recommend students who have an experience of KVN (or other VLBI networks)
data analysis to participate this workshop. The accommodation and meals will be
supported and no registration fee is needed. The number of participants will be
