Postdoctoral research position in gravitational dynamics of wide binary stars and/or galaxies: observation and/or data modeling

A postdoctoral research position is available immediately in the department of Physics and Astronomy at Sejong University in Seoul. The postdoc will join Prof. Kyu-Hyun Chae’s group to study gravitational dynamics in wide binary stars and/or galaxies (in particular, rotationally supported galaxies). In case the postdoc works on galaxies, the research will be carried out in collaboration with the SPARC-II project team (led by Dr. Federico Lelli at INAF in Italy).

The research work will be done through data modeling of the existing and upcoming data bases provided by Gaia and SPARC/SPARC-II and/or new photometric and/or spectroscopic observations of targeted binary stars.
