제목: Improving the
sensitivity of Gravitational Wave detectors: from the Birth of GW Astronomy to future detectors 초록: In 2015, after many years of scientific and technological efforts,
the first direct observation of a gravitational wave (GW) event was possible
thanks to the second generation of GW detectors, such as Virgo. Nevertheless,
further improvements are fundamental to increase the amount of detectable
sources and the volume of observable Universe. For this reason, new techniques
should be developed and implemented for increasing the sensitivity of current
detectors. In addition, new and more sensitive detectors should be designed and
built. In this talk, the most important scientific achievements of the
second-generation detectors will be presented. The design of the second
generation Advanced Virgo with the fundamental technology upgrades that made
possible the first direct observation of GWs will be described. The current and
future upgrades before next observing runs will be also presented. I will
conclude by briefly describing the future ground-based detector of third
generation, the Einstein Telescope, and the future space-based detector LISA
(Laser Interferometer Space Antenna).

Title: Improving the sensitivity of Gravitational
Wave detectors: from the Birth of GW Astronomy to future detectors Abstract: In 2015, after many years of scientific and technological
